She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Blue and Janie Blue; and her son Richard. She is survived by: her husband John C. Carmichael; her sons, Geoffrey and Joseph; her grandchildren, Nuchon Carmichael (Kiana), Angela Backmon, Tawanda McNeill, Demika Durrah, Vernon Gayle (Tiffany) and Charles Gayle (Nikki); and her nieces, Jenny and Joyce. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.
