He was predeceased by: his wife Ann. He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Bagby (Jon) and David Hess, Jr. (Caroline Hall); his stepson Roy M. Thomas; and his grandchildren, Carie, Eddie, Dawn, Tonya, Kimberly, Krystal and Heather. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory (2226 Lillington Hwy, Spring Lake, NC 28390). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cedar Falls Baptist Church (6181 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28311).
