He was predeceased by: his wife Ann. He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Bagby (Jon) and David Hess, Jr. (Caroline Hall); his stepson Roy M. Thomas; and his grandchildren, Carie, Eddie, Dawn, Tonya, Kimberly, Krystal and Heather. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
