She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Lee and Harriet McCourry Byrd; her significant other Charles Blanton; and her siblings, Shirley, Betty, Edna, Mabel and Park.
She is survived by: her brother Walter (Evelyn Byrd) of Green Mountain; her children, Faye Carpenter (Randy) of Fayetteville, Charles Allan Blanton (Charlotte) of Fayetteville, Rodney Blanton (Lisa) of Southport, Nancy B. Cone (David) of Salisbury and Robert Blanton of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Chris, Samantha, Tiffany, Crystal, Blaise, Travis, Corey and Morgan; and her great grandchildren, Brittany, Samantha, Mia, Hisana, Astraea, Bailey and Piper. She is also survived by great, great granddaughter.
