He was predeceased by: his father John Ryan; his siblings, Laura Bowden, Inez Langdon-Smith, Geraldine Byrd, Dorothy Ryan (Boggy), John Paul Ryan (Slick), John T. Ryan (Tom), Alexander Ryan (Alec) and William Ryan (Bo); and his son Charlie Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Toni Voland Ryan; his children, Crystal Callahan (Eric), Billie Ryan, Jeremiah Ryan, Christina LoBianco (Paul) and Daniel Short (Tabitha); and his sisters, Christine Ryan (Cricket) and Sarah Cornell (Becky). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
