Though Lizzie Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lizzie Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Edward Alston; her daughters, Annette Payne and Bridgette Gupton of Louisburg; her grandchildren, Shanique Gupton and Kadeem Payne; her stepchildren, Mary Alston, Michael Alston of Wake Forest and Angel Alston of Raleigh; and her sister Alice Marie Williamson of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William Toney's Funeral Home (516 S Poplar St, Spring Hope, NC 27882). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Luthers Chapel Holiness Church (10778 Church St, Castalia, NC 27816).
