He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest J. Land and Doretha S. Land; and his brother Julian Ray Land. He is survived by: his sisters, Linda Thorne of Spring Hope and Diane Gibson (Gene) of Nashville; his nephews, Jamie Moss (Libby) of Spring Hope and Christopher Pierce (Renee) of Raleigh; his niece Melinda Tyson of Spring Hope; and his close friends, Billy Howell and Craig Lamm. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.
