He was predeceased by: his son Charlie Ray Armstrong; and his siblings, Lerose Morris, Phillip Armstrong and James Alberta Armstrong. He is survived by: his children, Connie Coker (Charles) of Conetoe, Christy Armstrong of Rocky Mount and Curtis Armstrong (Carla) of Fuquay Varina; his grandchildren, Charlie Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong and Jill Mazzie; and his pets, Lucky and Snowball. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two great- great- grandchildren.
