He was predeceased by: his father Sylvester Brantley; his brother Sonny; his son Charles Kenneth Brantley, MD; and his mother Dona Atkinson Brantley of Stanhope. He is survived by: his wife Toni Overman Brantley; his children, Kathy Brantley of Wilson and Chris Brantley (Joyce) of Parker, CO; his grandchildren, Laura Brantley of Denver, CO, Mark Brantley (Stephanie) of Charlotte and Greg Brantley (Emma) of Omaha, NE; his great grandchild James Brantley; his stepchildren, Sheri Sammons of Wilson and William Sammons (Gigi) of Knightdale; his granddaughters, Sydney Sammons and Piper Sammons of Knightdale; and his pet Charlie.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (111 N Walnut St, Spring Hope, NC 27882). Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
