She is survived by: her husband Merle Cale; her son William Cale (Peggy); her brother David Fisher; and her grandchildren, Anna Munna, Ryan Watkins and William Cale, Jr.. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

“Carolyn and Merle came everyday as long as they were able to feed the stray cats who lived in the space beside Bridges Alley. Her heart was so large with love for creatures that needed help. She and I would talk when our paths crossed as we shared the same passion.. I’ve missed her during this time when she was no longer able to do what she loved. I hope heaven has taken in some of her favorite creatures to add to her joy in heaven and her release from earthly ills.”
