It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Ruth Gardner Wood (Spring Hope, North Carolina), who passed away on October 30, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband J. L. Wood; her parents, Ernest S. Gardner and Kattie Joyner Gardner; and her grandson Ryan Stetson. She is survived by: her children, Linda W. Stetson of Wasille, Ala, Ellen W. Marks of Louisburg, Philip Lewis Wood of Spring Hope, Danny Wood of Spring Hope and Randy Wood of Youngsville; and her siblings, Rachel Strickland, Elsie Sledge of Spring Hope, Roy Gardner, Troy Gardner and Larry Gardner of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
