Ayan is survived by: wife Jewel S. Thorne; sons, JaJa Layo of New Jersey and Biyan Layo of Spring Hope; aunts, Mamie Alston and Mary Arrington of Spring Hope; and uncle Eddie Mangum of Wilson. Ayan is also survived by other relatives and friends.
