Rebecca Gilliam Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rebecca Gilliam of Spindale, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Gilliam III; her parents, Ben Sprouse and Ada Vickers Sprouse; her son Max Ray Gilliam; and her siblings, Franklin, Ray, Garland, Delmar, Elmer Sprouse, Reva Bennett, Jeanette and Lillian Sprouse.
She is survived by: her children, Lou Gilliam of Spindale and Tommy Ray Gilliam (Deborah) of Sunnyview; her grandchildren, Rocky Gilliam, Kelly Gilliam (Mary) and Dr. Kevin Gilliam; her great grandchildren, Lillian Riley and Ethan Briar Gilliam; and her sister Linda Vassey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Crowe's Mortuary (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Rutherfordton Lions Club..
