He was predeceased by: his parent Perry Guy Cochran; his stepmother Janie Smith Cochran; his sons, Dennis Cochran and Guy Edward Cochran; and his great grandchildren, Justin Coffey and Joseph Edward Cochran.
He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth McCurry Cochran; his spouse Virginia Dalton Cochran; his son Johnny Lee Cochran (Beth); his sisters, Dot Difillis of California and Louise Murph of Spartanburg; and also, Phyllis Coffey (Zale) of Ellenboro, Brenda Hoyle (William) of Bostic, Elizabeth Boone (Robert) of Rutherfordton and Jan Hicks of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
