She was predeceased by: her father Archibald Clarence Hunter; her husband William S. Smith; her granddaughter Arwen Taylor Smith; her daughter-in-law Sonya Griffin Smith; and her sister Lula Ann Corwin (Don Corwin).
She is survived by: her children, Russell Stewart Smith (Susan Carpenter), William "Billy" Smith (Teresa Snider) of Salisbury and Sandra Smith Hart (Todd); and her grandchildren, Rory Smith (Joseph Korhan), Rachel Jarboe (Brendan), Alyssa Smith and Chandler Bassinger. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
