He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugh Douglas Young, Sr. and Mary Elva Snider Young; his pet Tinker; his wife Annie Laurie Taylor Young; his brother Johnny Young; and his daughters, Susan Y. Boswell (Robert) of Raleigh and Linda Y. Hauze (Gary) of Salisbury. He was also cherished by four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
