In loving memory of Doris Jean Schroen of Spencer, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who departed this world on November 4, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Bokar and Doris E. Albright Bokar Wilson; her stepfather Claude O. Wilson Jr.; and her husband Edward F. Schroen. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen M. Shepherd of Kannapolis, Mark E. (Annette Schroen) and Carla A. (Mark Whaley Sr.); her grandchildren, Mercy McCain, Kendall Schroen, Morgan Schroen, Spencer Schroen, Jennifer LoRe, Anthony Thomas, Mark Whaley, Jr., Malissa Lillywhite and Michael Whaley; her sister-in-law Carolyn Blum; and her nieces and nephews, Ed, Jim, Margarette Magruder, Alison Kohrt and Marlyece Blum. She is also survived by her fifteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trading Ford Baptist Church (3600 Long Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146).
