It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Stamper Harris of Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Onley Stamper and Elizabeth Stamper; her husband Olen Vaughn Harris; and her sister Betty Stamper Latham (late George). She is survived by: her sons, John Harris (Casey) of Chatham, VA and Mark Harris (Kim) of Advance, NC; her grandchildren, Jeana Collier (David) of Virginia Beach, VA, Zach Harris (Victoria) of Chatham, VA, Luke Harris of Advance and Dylan Harris of Advance; and her great grandchildren, Gavin Knight Cahoon of Virginia Beach, VA and Levi Olen Harris of Chatham, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (1410 Cherry Ln Rd, Glade Valley, NC 28627). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
