He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jan Royal; his daughters, Christine Spears (Chris) of Jonesville and Joy Royal-Whitt (David) of Glade Valley; his grandchildren, Elliott, Layla, Cayden, Hailee, Hayden, Blake, Aubree and Lunden; and his siblings, Donnie Royal of Pilot Mtn, Jeff Royal of West Jefferson and Lorie Royal. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grandview Memorial Funeral Home, 789 Grandview Drive, Sparta, NC 28675 to help assist the family with funeral expenses.
