It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Dale Mullis Sr. of Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Paul and Carrie Hamm Mullis; his brother John Wayne Mullis, Sr.; his daughters, Elizabeth Mullis Adams and Amy Mullis Perry; his grandson Brandon Lee Perry; and his son-in-law James Lee Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Bryant Mullis; his children, Joseph Dale Mullis of Salisbury, Roger Dale Mullis, Jr., Tanya Marie Mullis and Tammy Mullis Hamby of Jefferson; and his brothers, David Mullis of Jefferson, Robert Mullis of Sparta and Mason Mullis of Sparta. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
