He was predeceased by: his father Ray Hash; and his brother-in-law Grady Gambill. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hash; his brothers, Larry Hash (Nancy) of Piney Creek and Scott Hash (Sue) of Piney Creek; his siblings-in-law, Carol Gambill of Piney Creek and Mack Douglas (Shelia) of Piney Creek; and his nieces and nephews, Regina Hash Cortes (Peter) of Atlanta, GA, Rebecca Hash Pamuk (Isa) of Apex, Lynn Marcin (Jeff) of Durham, James Hash (Kristi) of Durham, Jon Hash (Meghan) of Durham and Greg Gambill (Paula) of Taylorsville. He is also survived by three great-nephews; five great-nieces.
