She was predeceased by: her parents, Burt Edwards and Ella Bedsaul Edwards; her husband Rev. Everette Roy Shaw; her son Michael Shaw; and her siblings, Virginia Edwards Sexton, Irene Edwards Wooten, Barbara Edwards Givens, Shirley Edwards Wooten, Emily Edwards Rector, Eugene Edwards, Carl Dean Edwards, Joe Edwards and Roger Edwards.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Matthew Shaw (Cassie) of Roaring Gap, Michelle Kratz of Wilkesboro and Stephanie Shaw of Charlotte; her great grandchildren, Solomon Shaw, Weston Kratz, Bryer Shaw and Annabelle Kratz; her stepgreat-grandsons, Joshua Taylor and Brandon Taylor; her sister Venaree Edwards Sparks; and her daughter-in-law Janet Shaw. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
