It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Frances Seagle of Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Joseph and Ethel Eva Francis Ross; her husband Max L. Seagle; her son Raymond S. Alves, Jr.; and her siblings, George Ross and Ellen Ross Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Alves (Janice) of California, David Alves (Darla) of California, Irene Doherty (Steve) of New Hampshire and Judy Carmody (Patrick) of Massachusetts; and her stepchildren, Dennie Seagle (Barbara) of Arkansas, Bruce Seagle (Freda) of Indiana, Lance Seagle (Patty) and Kim Horn (Leonard) of Illinois. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren.
