He was predeceased by: his parent Merton Niewisch; and his stepfather James Wise. He is survived by: his mother Christine Nobaris Niewisch Wise of West Jefferson; his wife Christina Niewisch; his stepchildren, Blake Neal of Jefferson, Cody Blevins and Brooke Neal (Jacob McKiddy) of Jefferson; his grandmother Patricia Nobaris of West Jefferson; his aunt Wendy A. Brown of West Jefferson; his cousins, Ashley Geis (Kevin) of Gainesville, VA, Audrey Brennan (Will) of Durham and Zeke Brown (Carol) of Deep Gap; his nieces and nephews, Gabriel Geis, Hudson Brown, Lily Brown, Fiona and Josie Brennan; and his close friends, Paul Sbarbaro (Katherine), Jaysana Herring, Richard, Heather Bare, Ed Tausche, Byron Lemly, Jamie Whitting, Brandon and Leisa Lemly. He is also survived by several other extended family and friends.
