It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie Barker of Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Clifford Blaine; and her husband Gordon Lester Barker. She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Parsons (Joey) of Deep Gap and Shelia Barker of Sparta; her siblings, Susie Robertson of Independence, Barbara Nichols of Independence and Gilbert Suitt (Donna) of Mouth; her grandchildren, Felicia Barker, Amanda Finger (Isaiah), Andrew Barker (Kelsey), Dylan Peredes (Morgan) and Kelsey Greene (Seth); and her great grandchildren, Brynlee, Jaxon Greene and Macyn Finger.
