He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sheets and Ethel Darnell Sheets; his wife Lois Wilson Sheets; his daughter Kandi Sheets; his sister Eula Taylor; and his mother-in-law Effie Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim S. Higgins (Ricky) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Kacie Walker (Garett) of Pfafftown and Cody Smith of Sparta; his great grandchildren, Peyton Walker, Willow Walker and Effie Walker; his sisters, Barb Severt of Laurel Springs and Geneve Black (Terry) of Glendale Springs; and his close friends, Bobby Ragland and Jean Shoffner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Grandview Funeral Home (789 Grandview Dr, Sparta, NC 28675). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
