He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Pfaender and Martha Struble Pfaender. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Pfaender; his children, Annika Pfaender (Joshua Purvis) of Greensboro and Gregory Pfaender (Jennifer Salome) of Durham; his grandsons, Alexander Purvis and Gabriel Purvis; his sister Julie Ann Lehenbauer (Jim) of Long Beach, California; and his nephews, John Lehenbauer and Jared Lehenbauer. He is also survived by loving wife, son and daughter, grandsons, and extended family.
