It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elvira Crouse of Sparta, North Carolina, born in Lewiston, Idaho, who passed away on November 22, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wagoner and Nora Caudill Wagoner; and her husband Odell Reeves Crouse. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Reeves (Oscar) of Sparta, Frances Joines (Richard) of Sparta and William Odell Crouse (Shirley) of Gibsonville; and her grandchildren, Dwayne Joines of Raleigh, David Joines (Mary) of Sparta, Claynena Wooten Gilbert (Darren) of Huntersville and Morgan Crouse Maness (Chad) of Gibsonville. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
