With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Eaton Brooks of Sparta, North Carolina, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on October 10, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Wilson Eaton Lumpkin and John Fred Eaton; her husband Robert Guy Brooks; and her daughter Ruthe Elisabeth Brooks. She is survived by: her children, Roger Brooks of Hays, Karen (David Kent) of Douglasville, GA and Carol (Randy Bennett) of North Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Kaila, Koby, Jon, Jozef, Nikki Brooks of Hays, Calleigh, Sela Kent of Douglasville, GA and Andrew Bennett (Kimberley) of North Wilkesboro; her great grandchildren, Easton and Amelia Bennett of North Wilkesboro; her sister Molly Lumpkin of Danville, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Lumpkin of Danville, VA, Russell Brooks of Piney Creek and Tim Scruggs of Danville, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
