Dora Sue Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dora Sue Smith of Sparta, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jethro and Daisy Smith Hendrick; and her siblings, Clyde Hendrick, Jerry Hendrick, Helen Grey and Carol Mullis.
She is survived by: her husband David Smith; her children, Matt Smith (Suzie) of Waxhaw and Sherry Nearhood of Texas; her grandchildren, Amber Smith of Sneads Ferry, Brandon Smith of Clover, SC, Tyler Nearhood (Shelby) of Texas and Kristin Nearhood of Texas; her great grandchildren, Camryn Nearhood, Carsyn Nearhood and Casyn Nearhood; and her brother George Grey Hendrick of Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
