As we bid Delano Florence farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Delano Florence is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arol Choate and Lucy Absher Choate. She is survived by: her close friend Ree Edwards; and her caregivers, Angel Wright, Jessicka Hannan, Davanna Higgins, Linda Walls, Debbie Dooley and Eula Raye Cook. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
The lying in state was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the GRANDVIEW FUNERAL HOME (789 Grandview Dr, Sparta, NC 28675). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
