He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clifford, Lorraine Murphy and David Flattery; his uncle Fritz Murphy; his aunt Rita Holmgren (Minnesota); and his cousins, Chris Kosman, John Popson and Renee Murphy (Wisconsin).

He is survived by: his parents, Jeff Flattery and Pat Flattery (Sparta); his grandmother Grace Flattery; his sister Elizabeth Flattery Cortes (Oriol Cortes); his godson Luca; his sister Katie Flattery Flores (Robb Flores); his goddaughter Delaney; his nephew Noah; his sister Tina Flattery (James Baucum); his nieces, Maddie Gilstrap, Mary Grace Flattery (Asheville) and Maya Baucum; and his nephew Jeffrey Gilstrap.
