He was predeceased by: his father John Marion; and his sisters, Vickie Triplett Busic and Susan Wooten Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shaw Wooten; his children, Bradley Wooten (Sandra) of Sparta, Jason Wooten and Bridget Williams (Steven) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Cassandra Miller (Josh) of Sparta, Justin Wooten (Paxton) of Glade Valley, Hadden Williams (India) of Sparta and Holden Williams (Rayni) of Laurel Springs; his great grandchildren, Olivia Miller, Owen Miller, Declan Wooten, Delaney Wooten and Emersyn Williams; and his sisters, Linda Williams (Bud) of Glade Valley, Lisa Crouse (Hoss) of Glade Valley and Kristy Wood (Mark) of Roaring River. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
