He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge O. Best and Rozelle Best (Burnette); his son Joshua Terry Best; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Batton and Mack P. Hendricks.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Best (Smith); his children, Shannon Lee Best Fleming (James) and Jonathan Thomas Best; his siblings, Cynthia Stinson (Dave) and Tony Best (Joann); his siblings-in-law, Brenda Hendricks and Mike Black; and his grandson Trent R. Fleming. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
