She was predeceased by: her son Chris Young. She is survived by: her husband Jim of Southport; her siblings, Margaret (Meg), Dellinger (Jerry), Peter Fulton (Donna) and George Fulton (Kerry); and her stepchildren, Katie MacCallum Nichols and J. C. MacCallum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dementia Alliance if North Carolina.
