He is survived by: his parent Evelyn Hickman Holden; his grandparents, Charlie Hickman of Southport and Minnie Hickman of Southport; his spouse Janice Swan Holden; his son Charles Dean Holden; and his grandchildren, Brooke Morgan and Bryant Kelly Holden.
Mr. Holden always believed in the Bible passage, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southport Fire Department, 1011 N. Howe Street, Southport, North Carolina 28461.
