She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul Alexander Efird and Janie McClamrock Efird; her husband Robert Wade Edwards; her sisters, Dorothy Efird Horn and Coleen Efird McGrady; her children, Darrell Eugene Edwards of Southport, NC, Donnie Wade Edwards of Winston-Salem, NC and Susan Edwards Stowers (John) of Southport, NC; and her grandchildren, Anthony Edwards, Melanie Edwards Andrews, Christopher Edwards, Heather Edwards, Sarah Edwards Frink and Autumn Stowers. She was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1436 Sheffield Road, Mocksville, NC 27028.
