In loving memory of Linda Mae Gambino (Southport, North Carolina), born in Brooklyn, New York, who departed this world on October 6, 2024 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ahlstrand and Evelyn Delaney Ahlstrand Wharton; her husband Charles Gambino (Chuck); her brother Don Ahlstrand; her stepsisters, Sue Eckert and Sally VonSolkema; and her sisters-in-law, Gloria Vallender and JoAnne Gambino.
She is survived by: her daughter Jill Gambino; her grandchildren, Alex Charles O'Leary and Ana Cynthia O'Leary; and her sister-in-law LouAnne Gambino of N. White. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Peacock, Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service (1411 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation at https://support.pkdcure.org. or any of the local animal rescue groups such as The Unforgotten Souls, SOAR, Paws Place or any animal rescues in Western NC.
