He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Lofink and Hazel Baxter Lofink; his former wife Elizabeth Demo; his brother Harold Lofink; and his grandson Matthew Jones.

He is survived by: his brother Mercury; his wife Joan; his children, David Lofink (Barb) of Carthage, NY, Amy Johnston (William) of Watertown, NY, Eve Lofink of Baldwinsville, NY and Martha Jones of Dexter, NY; his stepchildren, Lance Scott (Brenda) of Virgina and Colleen Planty of Syracuse, NY; his grandchildren, Kristin Leroux (Bryan), Jessica Kelly (Kevin), Ryan Jones, Allison Lofink, Dylan Lofink, Billy Joe Johnston (Kim), Wyatt Lofink, Landen Scott, Erin Scott and Connor Planty; and his sister Jean Simone (NJ). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association CNY Chapter, PO Box 12226, Syracuse, NY 13218.

“I was taken back to Carthage, New York when I saw the obituary for Mr. Lofink. I met Mr. Lofink one time, as he was a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. He was a very nice gentleman. Our conversation at the time revealed that he moved from Carthage, New York, which was my childhood home. He was the son of Mr. Lofink that owned the Ford garage in Carthage and my dad, (Harold Ure) had worked for them. He always spoke highly of the Lofink family. I wish to send my condolences to all your family.”
