It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gilbert Snuggs in Southport, North Carolina, born in Wadesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 19, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Allen Snuggs and George Baker Snuggs; his wife Martha Lee Snead of Monroe, NC.; his brother Henry Allen Snuggs; and his sister-in-law Jeanne Marks Snuggs.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Herndon, Haydn and Lee Hasty; his brother George Baker Snuggs, Jr. (Connie Buff Snuggs) of Rome; and his nieces and nephews, Ken (Sara), Kris (John Mallady) of Atlanta and Henry Mark Snuggs (Melissa).
