It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John F. Terry (Southport, North Carolina), who passed away on August 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John F. departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John F. may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John F. leaves behind.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Herbeck; his children, Lori Mathis (Jack) of Wilmington, NC and Rusty Terry of Oak Island, NC; his grandchildren, Gage Terry (Jordan) of Charleston, SC, Morgan Mathis of Wilmington, NC, Jesse Mathis of Wilmington, NC and Fisher Terry of Oak Island, NC.; and his brothers, Jim Terry of Poolesville, MD and Mike Terry (Amy) of Running Springs, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
