He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Vann Davis, Sr. and Willie Mae Beck Davis; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Jean Hipp Davis; his siblings, Nora Roy, Sarah Simpson, Christine Alexander, Bobby, Henry, Vann, Charles, Beck and Brooks Davis; his son-in-law Jim Wallace; and his grandchildren, J. T. Faires and Katie Faires.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Wallace, Sandy Parker, Cindy Martin (Ed), Jimmy Faires (Dawn), Steve Faires (Sally), John Davis, Scott Davis and Kym Gentle (Gary); his sisters, Carolyn Wilkes and Doris Cunningham (Donald); and his grandchildren, Leslie Helms, Jimmy Wallace, Jennifer, Matt Wilkins, Nick Martin, Jillian Herrmann, Britt Williams, Jake Faires, Greg, Beth, Josh Davis, Natalie and Addi Gentle. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
