He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard A. Clary and Ocie Pearl Draper Clary. He is survived by: his granddaughter Catalina; his wife Judy Lundberg Clary; his children, Jill Clary Kyles (Scott), James Patrick Clary and Jennifer Clary Hunt (Mark); his stepchildren, Amy VanStry Faruqui (Michael) and Michael VanStry (Alex); his grandchildren, Josiah, Naomi, Quinn, Nolan, Harrison, Avery and Hayley; his brother David H. Clary (Carolyn); and his pets, Roxie and Tinkerbell. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and step children and step granddaughter.
Jim's wish was to donate his body to East Carolina University – The Brody School of Medicine, but because of the pandemic, they could not accept the donations. Donations can now be made in his memory to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare c/o SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane SE, Bolivia, NC 28422.
