James Alvin Wilt Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Alvin Wilt of Southport, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 83. As James Alvin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James Alvin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James Alvin leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Raymond Wilt and Gertrude Todd Wilt; and his son James Todd Wilt. He is survived by: his daughter Cathy Lynn Wilt Kelly (Greg) of Lanexa; his wife Joan Johnson Wilt; his granddaughter Chase (Virginia) of Harrisonburg; and his brother Lawrence (Carolyn) of Yorktown.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Newnam & White Funeral Home (1411 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461).
