He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Sutherland; his children, Kara McPherson (Jesse), Zac Sutherland and Jordan Sutherland (Megumi); his grandchildren, Millie McPherson, Porter McPherson, Clara McPherson, Maia Sutherland and Soma Sutherland; and his sisters, Dr. Ellen Freeman (Jim) and Anne Herndon (Gayle).
A reception will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (209 E Nash St, Southport, NC 28461).
