With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Adrian Rankin (Southport, North Carolina), who passed away on September 25, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Simpson Rankin and Annie May Cropp Rankin; and his sisters, Betty Jean Clark and Margaret Ann Rankin. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, David Rankin (Tamela) of Keyser, WV and Susan Rankin of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, Andrew Rankin, Katheryn Rankin of Keyser and Ian (Amy Rankin) of Martinsburg, WV; and his friend Charlie Hess.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Meals on Wheels of Brunswick County or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
