He is survived by: his sister Ann Whitaker; his brother-in-law Rick Rhyne; his wife Betty Jo Ellender (BJ); his son Jeff Royal (Jaynie); his grandchildren, Chi, Tal and Brax; his stepsons, Joe Ellender (Ashley), James Ellender (Kelsey) and Jeremy Ellender (Henry); and his stepgrandchildren, Will, Walker and Avery. He is also survived by two nephews; a niece; and several grandnephews.
