Gladys Smith Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys Smith (Southport, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gladys leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Maggard and Marjorie Maggard. She is survived by: her son Terrance Simpson (Mia Chanel); her grandchildren, Caleb Simpson Alizah (Isabella) and Lydia Simpson; and her great grandchildren, Blakely Ann and Weston Michael. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cape Fear Memorial Park (4763 Southport-Supply Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461).
