With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Butler Hayes (Southport, North Carolina), born in Bloomfield, New Jersey, who passed away on September 30, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Butler and Anna Newport Butler; her husband Ernest Hayes, Jr.; and her brother George Butler. She is survived by: her daughter Beverly White (Douglas); her grandchildren, Douglas White (Joy), Jeanne McCoy (Ellison), Jeffrey White (Kate) and Bradley White (Amie); and her great grandchildren, Brooks McCoy, Ford McCoy, Mary Ellison McCoy, Avery White, Austin White and Abilene White.

Memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
