She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Allen and Bebe Harrison Allen; her sister Karen Allen Myers; and her niece Elizabeth Paige Myers. She is survived by: her husband Edward Snead; her children, Carla Buck Fell (Greg) of Mount Holly, NC, Joseph Carey (Kim) and Brian Carey (Sara) of Huntersville, NC; her grandchildren, John, Will Roberts, Matthew, Michael Carey, Zach Priddy, Alex, Wyatt and Madelyn Carey; her stepdaughters, Wendy Wessell (Ken) of Pikeville, NC and Sandy Snead (Duy Huynh) of Charlotte, NC; and her stepgrandchildren, Sarah Driscoll (Cory), Morgan Fell, Lauren and Jackson Wessell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice or The Salvation Army of Southport.
