It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Marion East (Southport, North Carolina), who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion East and Sarah East; his in-laws, Robert and Geraldine James; his brother Robert East; and his nephew Mark East.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta James East; his children, Courtney East Reed, Amy East Cote and Andrew East (Andy); his grandchildren, Ethan Cote, Peyton Reed, Curtis East, Emma Cote, Ross East and Colby Reed; and his brothers, Edward East and Arthur East. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, if you so desire, that you make a donation to either the local Southport, NC hospice that cared for him so wonderfully, or to the Friends of Grace church project in Lincoln, VA to restore the old, stone church.
